Supporting Our Trust.
There are various ways you can support the work of our trust. Whether you are an individual, a group, club or business there are many ways you can help us. The trust rely on grants and charity work to help finance our work but it is not all about money. The ways you can support go beyond raising and donating money.
Volunteering:
Through out the year the trust arranges a number of events to promote our work and our village in addition to raising money for trust projects. Arranging these events takes time, determination, planning and arranging as well as people to man stations on the day. If you have time to spare and wish to get involved with our work you will be made very welcome. You can sit on committees or lend a hand on the day such as washing cars at the charity car wash, bag packing at the local super market or manning a stall at the annual Gala.
The trust relies on the goodwill of the Sandbank Community and local traders. The work we do is for the benefit of the whole community, the more help we have, the bigger and better our events.

Charity Work.
The Trust board do a lot of work to raise money to cover administration costs. To help support us you can come along to events and bring your family and friends. It would be helpful if you could spread the word about our events and help us make them even more successful.
Time Bank.
Sandbank Community Development Trust are members of Cowal Time Bank. The Time Bank works by registering and then offering skills and services to the general public. The idea of the time bank is quite simple – For every hour you give, you get an hour back. You can access services such as gardening, decorating, dog walking, crochet, etc. etc.
To support the trust through the Time bank you register on behalf of the Trust and offer services. Instead of taking the time credits for your self, you donate them to the trust. The trust would then use the credits to access things like face painters and hired help at our events.

Travel 2 Give.
Sandbank Community Development Trust are delighted to announce a new fundraising partnership with the unique UK ‘Fundraising through Travel Network’, Travel2Give.
Travel2Give are a network of UK Travel Agents who dedicate their time and part of their profits to raising money for charities, on both a national and local basis. They recycle profits made on your holiday bookings back to us thus your holiday can benefit Sandbank Community Development Trust. Our local member is the well known Total Holiday Experience. Sandbank Community Development Trust are delighted to have their support.
Virtually every type of holiday you can imagine is offered through the programme which is enhanced by the sponsorship of over 20 tour operators and cruise lines. When you book one of their holidays, they will add a further donation for Sandbank Community Development Trust. As every Travel2Give donation attracts gift aid when the traveller is a UK tax payer, donations are often in excess of £50 per holiday!
Travel2Give also managed a sponsored events programme including activities like white water rafting, canyoning and hot air ballooning. Sandbank Community Development Trust supporters can organise a group to
Those with a sense of adventure can undertake a Travel2Give sponsored adventure trek to exotic destinations like Peru and China to raise money. The less active can also get involved by putting together a group to go on a theatre or city break. Book it through Travel2Give and Sandbank Community Development Trust will benefit.
‘We have brought together a terrific Scottish Agent Group to get the Travel2Give Network off the ground,’ says Travel2Give Chief Executive, Ken Robb.’ Our initial target is to raise £100,000 for Scottish Charities by 2011. Support us when you shop online.
Easyfunding is a new way you can help support our trust. By registering with Easy Funding which is free you can earn cash back donations for the trust. Easy funding have over 2000 online retailers who participtate.
How it works
We provide a FREE service where you can shop with your favourite online stores and at no extra cost raise funds for any charity, good cause or group you choose to support. You still shop directly with each retailer as you would normally, but simply by using the links from our site first, each purchase you make will generate a cashback donation to the cause you wish to support.
For example, spend £25 with WH Smith and 3.5% will be donated. You will have raised £0.88, at no extra cost to your purchase. Make any purchase from Amazon and 2.5% will be donated. Insure your car with Direct Line and raise £35.00, or purchase a mobile phone from O2 and earn £17.50, and so on.
You can shop with 2000+ Brand Name retailers and to raise funds you just use the links from our site first - it's that simple!
If you ALREADY shop online, why not help good causes at no extra cost from purchases you would make anyway.
Why do retailers support your fundraising?
It seems very generous, but when you buy online the cost to the retailer is much lower. As there's no shop, salesperson, heating, electricity, rates, not even the cost of the bag to put your goods in, retailers are more than happy to help good causes when new online customers are introduced to them via our website. Please note that your chosen good cause receives 100% of the donation. E.g. the donation rate for M&S is 5% of all spend, so your chosen good cause will receive 5p for every £1 spent.
Will I pay anything extra?
No. You pay the same prices exactly as if you visited each retailer's website directly. Using our service will not cost you a penny more than you would pay normally.
How much can I raise?
Up to 15% of every purchase is donated, depending on which retailer you select and what you buy. The exact donation that will be paid is displayed directly next to each retailer listing. With some categories such as mobile phones and insurance there is a cash value. Am I dealing with the retailer or with easyfundraising?
You still deal directly with each retailer. We simply record your visit to their website and reward your selected cause if you make any purchases.

Many retailers give exclusive 'Internet-only' discounts, special offers and even money saving 'eVouchers' to our members, so as well as raising funds, you can also use our site to save money.
